Similar Sire, Similar Scion
I'm most like my mother. She and I are always together, so it doesn't surprise me that I've turned out like her. After she had three kids, she says, she has become more like a tomboy. Don't get me wrong, she was even a tomboy as a teen. She used to ride four wheelers and go hunting (I know! Poor Bambi, right?!) with her father, but now she thinks like a tomboy, too. She looks at situations (often ones that include my sister and her friends) and thinks, "They were being dramatic," or "Why pay $80 for a freaking purse?!" I've always thought this way, and I believe that its mainly because I've grown up in an environment where "boy-like" minds rule. I don't mean that my mom is a "total guy," but she doesn't find going on a shopping spree at the Evansville mall something she will be looking forward to, unlike Joy who thinks and acts like the stereotypical teenage drama queen.
By the way, if you didn't know that I'm not a girly-girl, here's news for you: I'm NOT.
