Disney Arguments and Our Competition: The Matthews
Well I just about went off on Mrs. Shelton earlier.
She was temporarily subbing for Mr. Bates 1st period. She said something like "Disney ruins history. Like Pocahontas? Tcha! She and John Smith don't really hook up in history. Nope! She doesn't marry him or anything."
So of course I'm all annoyed that she even WENT there (dissing Disney).
Annoyed, I whispered to Yvonne and Stacie, "Yeah, well that's why they made Pocahontas 2! She 'hooks up' with John Ralph in that movie, which really DOES happen in history, okay?"
About 5 minutes later, Mrs. Shelton has shifted to the back of the room, which is where I was, and somehow my friends and I began to talk about Pocahontas again, so I took advantage of the moment and repeated what I had whispered loud enough so Mrs. Shelton might hear it (except it didn't sound as mean as it previously did).
Luckily, my plan worked!
She heard me and was like. "Well, yeah that's true. I should've guessed you'd-(either she said 'get all defensive about it' or 'know all about it')-since your whole family are, like, Disney fanatics."
I grinned and nodded, "Yup."
Then she said, "They must compete with the Matthews or something..." and I thought, "I'm SO going to write about this in a blog!"
So I told my mom just now and she got a kick out of it, then she told Mrs. Morris, who also got a kick out of it. So now YOU can get a kick out of it!
:D

If you go dissin' Disney, you're going down. lol
Spoken, er a TYPED in the spirit of fun of course.
We're not competition -- we are buds because Disney fanatics have to stick together, for sure! And BTW as I was reading your post, the first thought I had was "Has she not seen Pocahontas 2?"
She had implied that she had seen it, but maybe she really hasn't. XD
