Fun Flavor in the Library

In the Library,

sat me and my first-mate.

Another adventure we had,

and, of course, it was great!

We sat in the back room

as she ate a PB&J.

Then, in walked Alyssa,

smiling and ready to play!




Excited, Stacie and I hurried

to make our way out.

We glanced ahead at Alyssa,

and saw her hopping about!




Stacie, feeling generous,

shared with us: a small bag of Skittles.

The last ones, though, she WOLFED down,

and we all had the giggles.

A few minutes later,

we started to feel funny inside.

Suddenly, it seemed the library rules

we could not abide.

Joking and giggling

and fits of laughter...

We each took turns

of who to chase after!

Suddenly, the lunch bell rang

and our fun ended with a frown.

So we all walked back to class

sad, and with our heads hanging down.
