Crikey! It's Another One!

This week I acquired another gaming buddy.
Though, this one is for the XBox. :)

Stephanie (Sch.) told me on Monday that she was going to go home and create her own XBox Live account and that I should get on to play Halo 3 with her.
(First thought I had was "Oh crap. I haven't played that game in forever. I will just die...a lot.")
Later that day, I was (finally) able to get on. She had already been playing and so I joined her.
She was previously with two guys that she thought were pretty good players and weren't rude, so she invited them. They were pretty cool. They definitely liked to talk, which suited Stephanie (XD just kidding Stephanie!), and they played pretty good. They weren't the best out there, but, hey, they were good enough.

As many gamers know, two games that come from different companies, or even a different series, don't have the same controller layout. Modern Warfare 2 and Halo 3 are similar for the most part, but simple functions are very different. This was the main reason I was nervous about playing Halo 3 after being used to Modern Warfare 2 for so long.

And, surprisingly, I didn't make my team lose on the first game! I only got 15 kills, but that means I did more than I needed to. (There are 5 players and need 50 kills to win, so each player should get 10 kills, at least.)

We all played more and eventually Stephanie's cousin joined us. Turns out I wasn't the only one who was used to playing with Modern Warfare 2's controls. After a while, he tried to convince Stephanie to play Modern Warfare 2 because he wanted to show her how he thinks it's better than Halo 3. Eventually, Stephanie agreed to try it out, and I decided to turn on that game, too, so I could play with them (if they let me).

When we finally got a game setup, her cousin and I tried to explain the controls to her. Once we got through the basics of shooting, throwing a grenade, and running, one of Stephanie's friends shows up. We didn't realize he was there until suddenly we all just died. Stephanie yelled at him and her cousin tried to explain that we were practicing while I simply tried to get revenge and kill the dude. The friend seemed unable to hear us talking to him, so he just kept killing us. I tried to to find Stephanie so I could explain more of the controls, but everytime I went to search for her I would die. Eventually, I was able to find her and explain a few more things, but her cousin and I basically gave up on trying to show her stuff because it'd be too difficult.

About 5 minutes later, we grew tired of just killing the same people so we backed out of the practice match and went into the big leagues: Multiplayer.
While playing Team Deathmatch, we crossed paths with a few...juvenile characters.
I'm not going to talk about them mainly because I don't think they are worth the time.
Let's just say that we were estatic to be free of them when they were gone.

Stephanie and I eventually looked at the clock and saw that it was 11:22 PM and we weren't in bed yet, so we called it a night.

I love this blog!!! :) Yeah, it was so much fun. I'll remember it as the "beginning" of my Xbox 360 memories/experiences haha. I'm glad that a video game system has brought us closer, because it truly has :P I can't wait until this summer when we can play it up girl!
