Emergency On an Empty Stomach

If you haven't heard, my sister is on crutches.
Don't worry, it's nothing serious, just a sprained ankle.
It occurred Tuesday night around 5:15 PM during band practice.
She did a twirl in the air and landed straight on her ankle.
Yeah, OUCH.
Anyways, my mom and I took her to the hospital for X-rays after she confirmed it was a sprain, but stated it could possibly be a fracture or break. We were planning on taking her to the Immeadiate Care Center, but took her to the Emergency Room instead, which, I believe, is far from any vending machine, unless you wanted to walk to it, then around the entire hospital since there were no "shortcuts" (Note that no one had eaten anything since lunch which was before 1-o'clock). We were in the waiting room for about 5 hours, plus an additional hour or two in the rooms when we finally got assistance. What I'm annoyed by is that we only were treated by the doctor for about 15 minutes when we had a total wait time of 6 hours. Eventually, we were able to go home. We arrived around 11:20 and FINALLY got a chance to eat supper!
Then my mom and dad left to go back to the school to get Joy's car. We wouldn't have worried about it, but Joy informed us she hadn't locked it and the keys were in it. (It's not that she doesn't care, it's just that she could see her car from band practice and would know if anyone got in it) So, not only could someone steal her car, they could take her laptop, the ENL video camera she borrowed that day, and everything else that was in there.
My parents got home about quarter till 12 and I stepped out of the shower soon after. We all said good night and went to bed a little after midnight. Yippee, I thought, five or six hours of sleep tonight for all of us.

So there you have it, the story of the Courtney family's most recent emergency.
