La Cow-girl et La..GOOFY PIRATE! Day One: Chapter Four
Chapter 4: Tag and Good-night
Excited that we finally had both guns, we hurried out of their house after locking up and ran to my house's front yard (Ginger was in the back). We flipped the switches on the guns and went to hide behind the cars in the driveway and the trees in the yard.
We crept around, searching for the other player and shooting each time we had a chance. Sometimes we would run each other around in circles around one car and then dodge behind another. Each minute it was getting darker and darker. We stopped playing for a few minutes to use the bathroom and grab jackets since it was getting colder. Once we went back outside, my mom told me we could go to the backyard because my dad finally had the campfire close enough to his standards and he was heading inside with Ginger.
So we went out to the back with our guns and made the boundary limits of our game (meaning there was no chance of running into fold-out chairs, the tent, or even the fire). We continued to play for possibly an hour or so, but then we stopped because the laser-tag guns had flashing lights on them that gave away our location to the "enemy" (and we just simply got off-track by pretending to be calling out map directions [Ex. North 5 steps] to one another just so we could meet and give each other a high five.) This was oddly entertaining until later on we found out that we were going south when we thought we were going north and vice-versa.
Eventually, we had to stop so we could cook hot-dogs and make s'mores. (Yummy!) After we were finished with supper (and Stacie finally cooked a satisfactory marshmallow), we went inside the house to prepare ourselves for sleeping in the tent.
After sitting by the fire long enough, and listening to Joy and Michael laughing and giggling in the background, Stacie and I went to bed. For some reason, we found we were exhausted and I don't think the warm, calm fire made us anymore awake than before.
After a while of just sitting in the tent, getting comfortable, and talking nonsense (we were that tired) my mom joined us. We said our good-nights, and we went to sleep.
(NOTE: Sorry that it seems so "choppy" compared to my other narrations of my adventures.)
